Rein’s Kloster is located in Rissa, just a one hour’s journey from Trondheim.History tells us that Harald Hårfagre oversaw the farm “Rein” when he resided in Trøndelag in the 870s.The farm itself is probably over three thousand years old.The monastery at Rein was founded in the late 1220s and existed for 300 years.Today is the 10th generation Horneman who owns and operates Rein’s Kloster property. Reins Kloster produces beer and ice cream.
Reins Kloster produces a variety of art inspired handmade organic beers. Founded 7 years ago, it is the oldest organic brewery in Norway. Ranging from the classics to the twisted and eccentric. Famously producing excellent store strength beers in flavors ranging from Licorice stout to Ginger blonde.
Reins Kloster Aquavit
